Yes, most overseas buyers require a Business Visa (M Visa) to enter China. You can download an official Canton Fair Visa Invitation Letter directly through the online Buyer Service System (BEST) once your registration is approved.

Is the buyer badge free, and how do I get it?

Your first Overseas Buyer Badge is completely free if you pre-register online through the official portal. It is highly recommended to do this in advance; getting your badge on-site at the venue without pre-registration incurs a fee of 200 RMB and involves waiting in long lines.
