The 11th Asian Australian Rotorcraft Forum (DAA11) is a premier international scientific conference dedicated to the advancement of vertical flight technology at at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras). The forum is jointly organized by the Vertical Flight Society’s (VFS) Australia Chapter and India Chapter, with strong support from educational members like Melbourne University and Sydney University.
The forum will feature a comprehensive program that includes keynote speeches and referred paper presentations across five core subdisciplines of crewed and uncrewed rotorcraft: Aerodynamics, Structures & Materials, Propulsion, Systems and Design, Rotorcraft Dynamics and Control, Simulation and Modelling, and Autonomy. Beyond the technical sessions, the event will also include a Banquet and Awards Evening, a relaunch of the VFS India Chapter, and a tour of the IIT Madras Research Park and local tourist spots. This rotational forum, held annually in participating countries such as Australia, China, India, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Turkey, serves as a vital platform for researchers, academics, industry professionals, and students to present their latest work, discuss emerging trends, and foster international collaboration in the rapidly evolving field of rotorcraft technology.
